Horror fans are welcoming the season as Halloween approaches. October is for picking apples and the perfect pumpkin, crafting a costume and watching the classics. From Hocus Pocus to Carrie, Great Plains Communications has put together a list of some of our favorite scary movie marathons, Halloween specials, and more you won’t want to miss throughout the month.
13 Nights of Halloween – Freeform
Starting October 19, the network celebrates the holiday by counting down with movies such as Sleepy Hollow, Hocus Pocus, and even an all-day Tim Burton marathon on October 23.
AMC FearFest – AMC
Running from October 21-31, FearFest will include the horror you have been missing with movies such as all the Halloween movies, Carrie, as well as more recent thrillers like Annabelle.
Classic Horror – TCM
The Turner Classic Movies has dedicated specific days of the week to different Halloween themes. Today would fall under Classic Horror Tuesdays with iconic films from the 1930s – 1960s, such as Frankenstein and The Wolf Man. Are you a Dracula fan? You will want to check out Dracula Sundays as they celebrate one of the most memorable movie monsters.
The Sandman

The Watcher in the Woods
Saturday October 21, at 7 PM on Lifetime
Enjoy this remake of the original cult classic starring Angelica Huston.
