Starting today, we are rolling out an extension of our very popular Support Our Troops program that occurs during the holiday season. Even better, this program is now open for troops serving overseas or stateside!
If you aren’t familiar with the history of the program, it has allowed Great Plains Communications customers to send an approved USPS goodie box during the holiday season. For the last five years, it’s been our way of giving a little piece of home to those serving overseas and has been very successful. So far, we have provided free shipping for nearly 500 packages.
This year, we have decided to add Valentine’s Day to the program so that troops can “Feel the Love.” The Feel the Love program will provide a free pre-paid postage stamp to troops serving overseas or stateside. The address must still be a military address (DPO, APO, FPO) and the pre-paid postage stamp will cover a USPS goodie box only. You must also be a Great Plains Communications customer in good standing or a Great Plains Communications’ employee.
The program begins today and will continue through February 15th.
We know that it can be hard to be away from loved ones on the most love-centric day of the year and we are proud to help families across Nebraska to be able to send their loved ones a little bit love.
If you are sending to a troop overseas, we do recommend that you read our article outlining what can and can’t be sent across the ocean. Further guidelines and the registration form can be found at https://www.gpcom.com/troops.
