Just a few years ago, summer wasn’t exciting if you were an avid TV fan. However, this season is rife with great programming that will have you wishing for a way to watch while also soaking up the sun (Of course, we can help you with that thanks to Watch TV Everywhere!).
Crossbones
Airing Fridays on NBC at 10/9 c
One of the most anticipated summer shows this year is Crossbones, a show about Blackbeard sailing the high-seas led by John Malkovich. The first episode aired last week, but you can catch up online at NBC.com using your High-Speed Internet connection.
Girl Meets World
Premiering on Disney Channel on June 27th at 9/8 c
Those who grew up in the 90’s and now have kids will be very happy to hear about Girl Meets World on the Disney Channel. This show is a spin-off of the very popular TGIF series Boy Meets World that aired on ABC from 1993-2000. The series focuses on the daughter of Cory and Topanga (“Boys” two main leads) as she navigates many of the same challenges.
Murder in the First
Premiering on TNT June 9th at 10/9 c
Steven Bochco of NYPD Blue fame is returning to TV with a summer drama for TNT. Called Murder in the First, the channel goes beyond the traditional “cop show” that Bochco practically pioneered. Much like his show, Murder One, it follows the case for an entire season. However, this time, the show features two murders that may or may not turn out to be connected. It is a refreshing way to keep the show fresh and fast-paced.
