This year, along with our Support Our Troops program, Great Plains Communications is doing a social campaign to help raise money and awareness for the organization, Operation Homefront. We not only want to thank the men and women who have sacrificed their lives for our country, but want to help where there is a constant need for assistance. Operation Homefront donates 92% of expenditures to building strong, stable and secure military families so they can thrive in the communities that they’ve worked so hard to protect.
According to their website, in 2015 Operation Homefront placed 92 families in mortgage-free homes, gave $4.2 million in emergency assistance, provided 32,906 military children with holiday toys, and so much more.
We understand there is need all over the United States, including our state of Nebraska. So far in 2016, Operation Homefront has donated $2,290.58 towards auto payment and insurance, $4,995 for rent and mortgage, and other needs totaling $15,534.04 specifically provided to Nebraska military families.
By simply going to our Facebook page and liking our post shown in the graphic below, your like will be turned into a dollar that Great Plains Communications will donate to Operation Homefront at the end of the month (maximum donation $1,000).
