If you want to find out even more about the Olympics, be sure to use your Great Plains Communications’ Internet to connect with NBC Olympics coverage all over the web. Here is a recap of the available social channels:
Facebook: Facebook.com/NBCOlympics
The Facebook page will allow fans to discover content, engage with the community and celebrate major moments. On Facebook, NBC Olympics will provide fans with information around what events are happening at the Olympics each day, link to livestreams, dynamic stories, photo galleries and videos from NBCOlympics.com and offer sneak peeks to primetime coverage.
During primetime, the page will also be home to regular figure skating Q&As with Olympic champion and NBCOlympics.com host Sarah Hughes and highlight major moments of victory with compelling celebratory shareable content. The Facebook page will not, however, be updating your feed with results. For, that, be sure to follow us on Twitter.
Twitter: @NBCOlympics
Twitter, conversely, will be the destination for up-to-the-minute results and breaking news. As long as competition is going on, @NBCOlympics will also keep you informed with tune-in posts and coming-ups about when events will livestream on NBCOlympics.com as well as on television. It will keep you in-the-know about cool happenings in Sochi, pump out highlight video, photo galleries and stories, interact with athletes, and of course – engage and retweet followers.
There will also be exclusive access to athletes in Sochi as they take over the @NBCOlympics handle periodically, do Twitter Q&As and Vine videos.
Instagram: @NBCOlympics
Instagram is home to all of the behind-the-scenes photography taken by members of the NBC team on the ground in Sochi. It will provide a breadth of unique perspectives: everything from capturing a moment of a snowboarder after he finishes a top-scoring run, to the control room in the IBC minutes before primetime taping begins, to Instagram videos of our research team giving their thoughts on a day’s results.
