Back for the second year, Great Plains Communications is raising money for Operation Homefront. Starting on Veterans Day (November 11, 2017), we will share the graphic below on our Facebook page and will donate $1 for every like with a maximum of $1,000.
With the mission, “Build strong, stable, and secure military families so they can thrive in the communities that they’ve worked so hard to protect,” Operation Homefront is a nonprofit organization serving America’s military families. They strive to provide RELIEF through Critical Financial Assistance and transitional housing programs, which covers things from utility payments to food assistance or auto insurance. They look to provide RESILIENCY through permanent housing and caregiver support services, including two deeded houses to local Nebraska families this year. And they offer RECURRING FAMILY SUPPORT programs and services, including backpack programs and their current partnership with Dollar Tree. Operation Homefront is in the process of providing holiday toys to military/veteran families across Nebraska through their partnership with Dollar Tree. The collection continues through December 7th at each of their store locations.
